Tulsa NIL Policy

Mission

To provide student-athletes at The University of Tulsa with the knowledge and preparation to capitalize on Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) opportunities while staying compliant with Federal and State laws as well as NCAA legislation.

What is NIL?

NIL is a way student-athletes can earn money off of their athletic ability while maintaining their eligibility as an NCAA student-athlete. Student-athletes can earn money from their NIL through sponsorships, marketing and/or promotional activities.  The University of Tulsa, through their Siren NIL program ensures compliance with Oklahoma state law as well as University and Athletics Department policies and procedures.

What is INFLCR?

INFLCR is an online platform designed to assist student-athletes with NIL opportunities. INFLCR provides record keeping for NIL transactions, allows TU Athletics to monitor and approve student-athlete NIL activity, educates student-athletes on NIL issues from brand management to tax implications, and provides student-athletes real-time content access (game photos, promotional headshots, etc.).

What is Opendorse?

The Opendorse Marketplace is an online hub where the public can engage TU student-athletes about potential NIL deals. On the Opendorse marketplace, people can reach out to student-athletes about a potential business post, an autograph, personal appearance or even a specially tailored business pitch. The Opendorse Marketplace truly brings TU student-athletes closer to the fans and improves the overall fan and student-athlete experience.
