Tulsa Head Basketball Coach Bill Self was selected as the Western Athletic Conference Don Haskins Coach of the Year by a vote of the league's coaches.
? Senior forward Eric Coley, the WAC's career and single-season steals leader, was named to the all-WAC first team, while fellow senior Brandon Kurtz and junior newcomer David Shelton were selected to the WAC's second team.
? Coley and senior guard Tony Heard were all-defensive team selections, while Shelton was named to the WAC's all-newcomer team.
