As a team, the Hurricane established a new school single-season
and Western Athletic Conference record with 414
steals in 35 games. The previous school record of
345 steals in 33 games came in the 1983-84
season. The previous WAC record was 365 by TCU in
the 1997-98 campaign.
? This season Tulsa
has had five games of over 20 steals, including a
stretch of four straight games of 20+ steals.
Against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Tulsa had 23 steals,
the most since a school record 25 steals vs. Fort
Valley State on Nov. 24, 1984.
? Other 20+ steals
games for the Hurricane were 20 steals against
St. Joseph's, 21 thefts against Texas-San Antonio
and 20 vs. UAB. Tulsa had its fifth game of the
season with at least 20 steals, as the Hurricane
had 20 steals vs. Rice. The 20 steals vs. Rice
set a new WAC record for a league game, breaking
Tulsa's old WAC mark of 18 against Fresno State
(1-15-98).
