University of Tulsa Head Women's Soccer Coach Damon Gore welcomed 24 players, including 12 newcomers, to the TU campus on Wednesday.
The Hurricane will begin three-a-day practices this Thursday. Tulsa's daily preseason schedule includes morning practices at 10:00 a.m., conditioning at 3:00 p.m. and an evening practice at 8:00 p.m.
"Everybody reported today as expected," Gore said. "Today, we did physical testing and by-in-large the team came in very fit, especially the upperclassman. Tonight, we will actually get them on the field for the first time and have an intra-squad scrimmage, which will give us our first opportunity to look at the team as a whole."
Tulsa will scrimmage the University of Texas on Wednesday, August 16 at 7:00 p.m. in Austin before opening the 2000 season against Oklahoma at the Oklahoma Shootout in Edmond on Friday, August 25 at 8:00 p.m.
