Tulsa Holds Off Buffalo, 80-75

LAIE, Hawaii (AP) - Dante Swanson scored 19 points to help Tulsa to an 80-75 win over Buffalo on Thursday in the opening game of the Yahoo! Sports Invitational.
Buffalo (5-3) closed to within one point, at 76-75, with 27 seconds left in the game when Darcel Williams hit a 3-point jump shot.
But Swanson and Greg Harrington each hit two free throws as time closed out to seal the victory for the Golden Hurricane (7-1).
Tulsa made all 16 of its free throws, while Buffalo was 4-of-5.
Harrington and teammate Kevin Johnson ended with 10 points apiece. Harrington also had 12 assists.
Williams, who hit 10 of his 12 shots from the field, including 4-of-5 from 3-point range, had 24 points. Louis Campbell and Robert Brown scored 13 points each for Buffalo, while Daniel Gilbert added 11.
