Davis also grabbed 10 rebounds for the Golden Hurricane (4-1). Marqus Ledoux added 14 points.

The Bears (2-3) held Kevin Johnson - one of Tulsa's leading scorers - to a single point.

In their previous games, Tulsa's perimeter-oriented team has struggled against the zone defense. Southwest Missouri State used a zone, but Tulsa made them pay by making 12 of 21 (57 percent) 3-pointers.

Robert Yanders scored 21 points and Terrance McGee added 18 for the Bears. Scott Brakebill had 15 points and eight rebounds.

Tulsa led 38-33 at halftime and slowly built on that advantage in the second half.
