Mesman Earns WAC Player of the Week Honor

Senior Ann Mesman's three home runs this season is one reason why TU is leading the WAC in home runs.

Tulsa, Okla. - Senior catcher Ann Mesman earned Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors for her efforts on this past weekend at the OU/Adidas Classic in Norman, Okla.

Mesman, a native of Los Banos, Calif., batted .556 (5-for-9) in three games last week. She scored one run, drove in one, recorded two doubles, one sacrifice and hit one home run. In the first game of the OU/Adidas Classic against Wichita State, Mesman was 2-for-3 with a double. She was 1-for-3 with a sacrifice in the second game of the classic against Creighton. Against second-ranked Oklahoma, Mesman went 2-for-3 with a double and a home run. She also scored one run and had one RBI. In two games against Oklahoma this season, Mesman is 4-for-5 with two homers.
