Tulsa Softball Hosts Final Fall Tournament

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa softball squad will close out its fall exhibition schedule by hosting the Golden Hurricane Fall Classic on Sunday, Sept. 29 at the Donna J. Hardesty Sports Complex.

Squads from Neosho County CC, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, Southeastern Oklahoma and Tulsa will take part in the round-robin event. The Lady Norse of NEO A&M and the Panthers of NCCC will open the classic at 9 a.m. on Sunday. Tulsa will face NEO at 11 a.m., followed by Southeastern and Neosho Co., at 1 p.m. The Golden Hurricane return to action at 3 p.m. to face Neosho Co. Southeastern and NEO A&M will play at 5 p.m. Tulsa and SOSU will close out the day with a game at 7 p.m.

Tulsa will look to remain undefeated this fall, as the Hurricane has won all eight of its contests. TU's pitching staff, consisting of freshman Maren Genow and Ami Day, has allowed only one extra base hit while recording six shutouts. The pair has a combined earned run average of 0.68.
