Monroe, La. - The University of Tulsa softball team will have to wait one more day before getting to play again, as rain has postponed play in the Mardi Gras Classic in Monroe, La.

The Golden Hurricane was scheduled to play Auburn at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning and Southeastern Louisiana at 3 p.m. Due to steady rain in the area, all games scheduled to be played on Saturday have been pushed to Sunday at the same time.

Once pool play has been completed on Sunday, the winners of each pool will play for the tournament championship at 5 p.m. The second-place teams from each of the two pools will also play at 5 p.m. for the consolation championship.

Tulsa defeated No. 29-ranked Louisiana-Lafayette on Friday night, 2-0, in its first game of the tournament. Freshman Maren Genow picked up her first collegiate shutout and third win of the season.
