Softball to Host Two Fall Tournaments in One Week

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa softball team will play five fall exhibition games this week at the Donna J. Hardesty Sports Complex starting Wednesday evening, Sept. 17, and continuing on Saturday, Sept. 20.

Teams from Neosho County Community College and Bacone College will play TU on Wednesday. Games are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. with TU playing Neosho. Bacone will play the Lady Tigers at 6 p.m. The Lady Warriors will conclude the festivities at 8 p.m., against the Hurricane.

On Saturday squads from Oklahoma Panhandle State, Northern Oklahoma, Butler County CC and Tulsa will play in a round-robin classic. OPSU and Northern open play at 9 a.m., as the Lady Aggies play in the first three games of the day. Tulsa and OPSU play at 11 a.m., followed by the Lady Aggies and Butler County CC at 1 p.m.

The Golden Hurricane will play the Grizzlies of Butler County at 3 p.m. Tulsa will also play Northern Oklahoma at 5 p.m., before the Mavericks conclude the classic against the Grizzlies at 7 p.m.

Tickets for both tournaments are $5 for adults and $3 for youth (ages 4-16). The University of Tulsa students get into all softball games free with a valid TU ID card. The softball field portion of the Hardesty Complex is located at the corner of 6th and Delaware.
