o Tulsa made its 12th bowl game appearance in school history and first iin 12 years.
o Tulsa's game captains are seniors Jorma Bailey, Austin Chadwick, Eric Richardson and junior James Kilian.
o Donnie Johnson had his first career kickoff return. He returned the kick 18 yards.
o For the 11th time this season, Tulsa's opponent scored first in the game. The only games the Tulsa scored first was Arkansas State and Louisiana Tech.
o Tulsa's -11 rushing yards in the first half was the least this season . The previous low was 23 yards against Minnesota.
o Tulsa's 38 first-half total yards is the lowest this year. The previous low was 78 yards against Minnesota.

o The loss was the worst bowl loss in school history.
o Junior tight end Caleb Blankenship caught three passes for a career-best 76 yards, including a long of 34 yards.
o Tulsa's six fumbles lost was a season-high for the Hurricane, and it surpassed Tulsa's season total by one.
o Tulsa came into the game with only five fumbles lost on the season to rank fourth in the nation. The six fumbles is one shy of a school record seven against Arkansas in 1974.
o Tulsa's 200 yards passing is the fourth most in a bowl game for the Hurricane.
o Freshman backup quarterback Paul Smith came into the game in the fourth quarter and completed 6-of-6 passes for 103 yards and one TD.

o Despite the bowl loss, Tulsa still ended the season with the biggest turnaround among NCAA Division I-A team this year as the Hurricane won seven more games than last season.
