Tulsa Wins In Dramatic Fashion

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Forward Jarius Glenn's lay-up with 15.9 seconds remaining gave the University of Tulsa a 65-64 come-from-behind victory over San Jose State University Sunday.
Glenn, who finished with 13 points, blocked a lay-up by San Jose State guard Maurice Moore with 24 seconds remaining, advanced down the court and took a pass from teammate Seneca Collins for the game-winning score.
San Jose State (6-20, 1-15 WAC), which had as much as a 12-point lead in the second half, had a chance to regain the lead, but forward Marquin Chandler missed a jump shot with five seconds left. The loss for the Spartans was their fourth in a row.
Tulsa (8-19, 4-12 WAC) broke an eight-game losing streak with the Western Athletic Conference victory. The Golden Hurricanes' last win was on Jan. 29 at home against San Jose State.
Center Anthony Price of Tulsa led all players in scoring with 16 points. Guards Kyle Blankenship with 13 and Jason Parker with 10 also scored in double figures for the Golden Hurricane.
San Jose State was led in scoring by forward Phil Calvert, who had 14 points. Guard Bim Okunrinboye and center Eric Walton scored 12 while forward Brett Lilly added 11.
The Spartans lost the game despite setting a school record converting 18-for-18 from the free throw line.
