Tulsa, Oklahoma - University of Tulsa basketball sophomore Trevor Meier has informed Head Coach John Phillips of his intentions to transfer.

Meier, a 6'4" guard, has played in 19 career games the past two seasons after red-shirting as a true freshman in the 2001-02 campaign. He scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in his two seasons. Meier played in eight games this past year and scored six points.

"We wish Trevor the very best. He wants to be able to play his final two years of collegiate basketball, and realizes that he would have a better opportunity at another University to do that," said Phillips. "I've told Trevor that we would assist him in any way to find another school."

Meier played his prep basketball at Alva (Okla.) High School.
