o Tulsa scored its first touchdown of the season on its first possession of the game.
o Freshman red-shirt Wade Whitlow received his first career start against Oklahoma State.
o Garrett Mills scored Tulsa's first touchdown of the season with a seven-yard touchdown pass. It's the second straight season that Mills' has caught Tulsa's first touchdown of the season. He had Tulsa's first TD pass reception last year in the third game against Texas State.
o Mills had his 13th career receiving touchdown.
o The loss dropped Tulsa to 0-2 on the season for the second year in a row. It also extended Tulsa's road losing streak against non-conference teams to 13 games.
o The loss is third in a row against Oklahoma State, and the 19th straight on the road in the series against Oklahoma State.
o OSU's punt return for a touchdown was the second allowed by the Hurricane in the last three games dating back to last year's San Jose State contest.
o James Kilian threw two touchdown passes against Oklahoma State, giving him eight career games with two or more passing TDs, all eight coming in the last two seasons.
