Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa women's soccer team will host the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns in a first time meeting between both teams at 10:00 a.m. this Sunday at the Hurricane Soccer & Track Stadium.
Tulsa (2-6-1) is coming off a 6-2 victory over Northern Iowa that not only snapped a three-game skid, but produced the most goals scored in one game since the 2000 campaign when the Golden Hurricane blanked IUPUI, 6-0, in the regular season finale. A total of six different players scored for TU against Northern Iowa. Three different players are currently leading Tulsa in scoring, including juniors Jamie German and Carrie Schnarre, and Katie Ward, each with six points.
Louisiana-Lafayette entered the week with a 4-2-1 overall mark and will face Oklahoma State on Friday night in Stillwater before its game in Tulsa on Sunday. The Ragin' Cajuns have allowed just six goals in seven games, and sophomore Rose Clemensen is the team's leading scorer with eight points.
Louisiana-Lafayette will mark the third team from the Sun Belt Conference that TU has faced this season. Tulsa is 1-1 against the SBC after falling to Arkansas-Little Rock, 2-0, the season opener and defeating Arkansas State, 3-0, in the fourth game of the year.
