Tulsa Head Coach Steve Kragthorpe:
"Well, I'm disappointed we lost the football game. We didn't make some plays when we had opportunities to. We five up a couple of big plays. We just didn't make the plays to win the football game. Give them credit, they made the plays when they had to.
Offensively didn't get into a flow?
"I thought we did some good things early in the game. In the second quarter we didn't sustain drives. We kept our defense on the field a little bit too much. We needed to move forward with the momentum we secured in the first quarter, but we didn't do that."
What about the special teams:
"The blocked punt was a big play to make it 13-3. It was a good job blocking the punt. I think Nick Graham got it, and Kinny Spotwood picked it up and ran it in. It was certainly a big play. Then we get the PAT blocked. We get a punt blocked, but our defense did a great job coming out and holding them and they miss the field goal. We got away unscathed there, but on the next series we turn it over on offense and they score a touchdown. We didn't take good enough care of the football tonight and we didn't make them play on a long field like we wanted to in those situations."
Talk about the last drive:
"It was a good drive. That's what we wanted to do in a two-minute situation is take the ball and move it down the field. We moved it from our 24 to the three, and just didn't get in the end zone."
There seemed like there were more unforced errors tonight:
"We weren't as sharp as we needed to be in any phase of the game - on offense, defense or special teams to win against a good opponent. We did make far too many unforced errors that we have to get corrected. We're going to play opponents on a weekly basis that are going to challenge you and some errors are going to occur within those challenges, it's the unforced errors we can't have."
Tulsa Running Back Uril Parrish:
"This was a big game for us. It was deflating and took a lot out of us. We came out in the beginning of the game fired up and we put points on the board. I think when we put those points on the board, we kind of relaxed a little bit. This is Division I football and you have to stay on top of things, because there's always time for a comeback. I think we should of stayed on top of things. We're going to work on that and get ready for next week. We just have to move on."
On the last drive:
"On the last drive everyone thought we were going to get into the end zone. We felt the energy and the vibe that things were going to go well. We got the ball and had some momentum and had a nice successful drive going, but life isn't always peaches and cream. Things don't always go your way. Some things don't go your way, some things happen and we didn't come out on top."
