Tulsa's Kacergis Named to Conference USA All-Freshman Team

Tulsa, Oklahoma - University of Tulsa freshman forward Jennifer Kacergis has been named to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team, as the league's postseason soccer honors were announced today.
A native of Plano, Texas, Kacergis was the only TU freshman to start all 20 games this season and she tied for first on the team in scoring with 21 points on eight goals and five assists. She ranked second on the team in both goals and assists and accounted for two game-winning goals this season.
Kacergis turned in her finest performances of the season UAB and Texas Tech. She tallied one goal, the game-winner, and one assist for three points against UAB and finished with one goal and an assist for three points against Texas Tech. She also produced the game-winning goal against Marshall and the game-tying goal vs. Louisiana-Lafayette.
Kacergis is the first Tulsa freshman to lead the team in scoring and reach the 20-point plateau in a season since Danielle Fauteux accomplished both feats in 2002.
Tulsa completed the season with a 9-9-2 overall record.
