• Nick Bunting and Jeff Perrett increased their consecutive starting streaks to 42 games.
• Tulsa had a 13:00 to 2:00 minute advantage in possession time in the first quarter.
• Courtney Tennial had his fifth game this year with one rushing touchdown, as he scored Tulsa's first touchdown. It was his first three TD rushing game.
• True freshman Dexter Taylor had scored his first collegiate touchdown on a four-yard run in the second quarter.
• The Tulsa defense held its third opponent this year to under 100 total yards in the first half -- Stephen F. Austin (63), North Texas (51) and Memphis (98). Last week, East Carolina had 104 first-half yards.
• Tulsa's 214 first-half yards marked the fourth time this season that the Hurricane has gained over 200 yards in the first half --the other games were Stephen F. Austin (297), Navy (235), Southern Miss (213).
• Tulsa's 21 first-half points was the first time since the season opener that the Hurricane has scored over 20 points by halftime. Tulsa has 31 first-half points vs. Stephen F. Austin in the opener.
• For the fifth straight game the Tulsa defense has held its opponent to seven points or less, and for the sixth time in seven games this season.
• Tarrion Adams had a career-high 91 receiving yards on five receptions.
• In 45 games under Steve Kragthorpe as head coach, Tulsa has now gone over the 30-point plateau 26 times.
• Tulsa has posted a 22-4 record when scoring over 30 points since the 2003 season.
• Paul Smith has now thrown for over 200 yards in five games this season and 15 career games.
• Tulsa's 6-1 record is the best for a Hurricane team since a 10-1 season in 1982.
• Courtney Tennial's three rushing touchdowns was the most for a Tulsa running back since the seventh game of the 2005 season as Uril Parrish had three rushing TDs against Rice.
