HOUSTON (AP) -- Ramon Dyer scored 20 points and Houston held Tulsa to 29 percent shooting in a 73-46 victory Saturday night. Junior Darold Crow paced the Tulsa with 10 points. The Hurricane fell to 9-14 on the year and 4-6 in Conference USA action.

The Cougars (18-6, 8-3 Conference USA) raced to a 38-14 halftime lead by holding the Golden Hurricane to 5-of-25 shooting in the first half. Tulsa failed to score its first two-point basket until 9:33 remaining in the first half on a Charles Ramsdell jumper.

Tulsa scored 32 second-half points, as Crow scored all of his 10 points after halftime.

Houston's Dyer was 8-of-13 from the field and 4-of-8 from 3-point range. Jahmar Thorpe had 14 points, and Chris Lawson added 12 off the bench.

For the game, Tulsa was 15-of-52 from the field, including 4-of-21 from 3-point range. Ramsdell added nine points and eight rebounds for the Hurricane. Houston cruised despite an off-night from leading scorer Oliver Lafayette. He had four points, 12 off his average, on 2-of-8 shooting. The team's leading 3-point shooter missed all five from long range.
