Tulsa Continues Homestand with Best Western Airport Festival

TU will continue its current 11-game home stand by hosting the Best Western Airport Festival Friday through Sunday at the Donna J. Hardesty Sports Complex.

The University of Tulsa softball team continues its current 11-game homestand by hosting the Best Western Airport Festival. The six-team round-robin formatted event will take place at the Donna J. Hardesty Sports Complex beginning Friday, March 3 and conclude on Sunday, March 5.

National powers such as Nebraska and Notre Dame headline the field which will also include Kansas, Northern Iowa and Stephen F. Austin.

On Friday, Tulsa (8-3) will face Northern Iowa at 5 p.m. The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame (5-4) and the Golden Hurricane will conclude the first day of play with a 7 p.m. contest.

Tulsa will again play back-to-back games on Saturday with a 3 p.m. game against former TU assistant Jenifer Wells and Stephen F. Austin (4-4). TU will then face nationally ranked Nebraska (15-4), 17th this week in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll, at 5 p.m.

The festival will wrap-up with TU and Kansas (5-9) at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
