• Tulsa captains for today's game were Nelson Coleman, Donnie Johnson, Jon Hameister-Reis and Paul Smith.
• Offensive tackle Jeff Perrett and linebacker Nick Bunting each started their 38th consecutive game.
• Paul Smith entered the game needing 50 passing yards to move into ninth-place on the school's career passing chart.
• Paul Smith had his fourth career punt in the first quarter.
• Nick Graham had his seventh career interception with his pick in the first quarter. It was his first interception of the season. He had six interceptions last year to rank eighth in the nation.
• This is the first game since last year against Southern Miss on October 8, 2005 that Paul Smith threw more than one interception. (2 in that game).
• Ted Curtis' four-yard TD reception right before half time was his first career receiving touchdown.

• Bobby Blackshire's interception in the fourth quarter was his second of the season and sixth of his career.
• The last game Tulsa had multiple interceptions was last year against Fresno State in the Liberty Bowl on December 31, 2005.
• Paul Smith moved into ninth place on the Tulsa career passing list with 3,709 yards, passing Mike Stripling (1966-68). He needs only 15 yards to move into eighth place.
• Paul Jurado's career best 62-yard punt in the fourth quarter was the longest punt since Chris Kindred had a 67-yard punt against Houston on October 1, 2005.
• Tulsa has a record of 44-34-3 in Homecoming games in school history.
