Golden Hurricane Softball Hosts First Fall Scrimmage on Saturday

Senior Julie Fennell and the Golden Hurricane softball team will play Rogers State and Seminole State on Saturday, Sept. 23rd, in a pair of exhibition games starting at 11 a.m.

Tulsa, Okla. - Fans will have their first opportunity to see The University of Tulsa softball team in action on Saturday, September 23rd as the Golden Hurricane will host the first of two fall scrimmages at the Donna J. Hardesty Sports Complex.

The festivities will kick-off with TU playing Rogers State, coached by former Hurricane Dawn Reed, at 11 a.m. Tulsa will then face Seminole State at 3 p.m. There is no admission fee for the event.

Tulsa won 34 games in 2006 in route to the program's first NCAA Regional appearance, along with Conference-USA regular season and tournament titles. TU returns nine players off last season's squad, including C-USA Tournament MVP Julie Fennell and all-tournament selections Brooke Smart and Sara Dyer.
