• Tulsa scored on its first possession for the fifth time in seven games, including the fourth time scoring a touchdown.
• Tulsa led at the end of the first quarter for the fifth time this season, and tied for its most points in the first quarter (14), which occurred twice before - coming in the first two games of the season against UL-Monroe and BYU.
• Tulsa was held to three points in the second quarter, which was the lowest point total in the second quarter since being held scoreless in the season opener. This came after Tulsa had its highest scoring second quarter last week of 24 points against Marshall.
• Tulsa trailed at halftime for the fourth time out of seven games, but for the first time in C-USA games this year.
• For just the second time this season, both coming in the last two games, Tulsa did not scored on its first second-half possession. Tulsa scored on its first second-half possession in the first five games.
• Paul Smith had his 17th career multiple TD passing game and the seventh time this year. It was also the 25th career game with 200+ passing yards.
• This was only the second game this season that Tulsa did not total more than 500 yards in total offense. The other game came against Oklahoma (398).
• This was the third game this season that Tulsa did not have more total yards than its opponent -- the other two came against BYU (694 to 595) and Oklahoma (553 to 398).
