TU Women's Soccer Team Falls to UAB, 2-0

Birmingham, Ala. - The University of Tulsa women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to UAB on Sunday afternoon in Birmingham, Ala. The Blazers moved to 7-6-1 on the season and 3-2-1 in Conference USA, while the Golden Hurricane fell to 3-12-1 overall and 1-5 in the league.
Sally Palmer notched her sixth goal of the season off a pass from Justine Hartigan with only 11:53 ticked off the clock to give the Blazers an early lead. Jill Porto added her fourth goal of the year in the 67th minute for the 2-0 victory.
UAB out-shot TU 20-5, including an 8-0 advantage in shots on goal. Junior Rachel Robinson picked up six saves in goal for 13 on the year.
Tulsa will return to action on Friday, Oct. 26th against Houston. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium on the TU campus.
