  • This is the 35th straight start for senior quarterback Paul Smith and senior linebacker Nelson Coleman.
  • Paul Smith's first pass completion of 21 yards to Jesse Meyer moved Smith into second-place on the school's single-season passing chart. He needed seven yards coming into the game to move from fourth-place to second-place.
  • Tulsa's defense has stopped the opposition on its last four fourth down conversion attempts, including three times vs. SMU and the first attempt by Tulane.
  • Tulsa's first scoring drive took just 1:54, it marked the 21st time this year in 43 scoring drives that a Tulsa scoring drive has taken less than 2 minutes.
  • Paul Smith's 52-yard TD pass to Brennan Marion in the second quarter was the eighth pass completion for over 50 yards this year for Tulsa, and fifth for a touchdown.
  • For the third straight game, Tulsa suffered at least three turnovers and the second straight game that Tulsa has had three first-half turnovers.
  • For the fifth time this season, Tulsa surpassed the 300-yard mark for total offense in the first half with 338 yards. Other games in which Tulsa had more than 300 yards in the first half included 336 vs. BYU, 322 vs. UAB, 353 vs. UTEP and 370 vs. Marshall.
  • Roy Roberts had a 92-yard kickoff return for a touchdown on his first-ever kickoff return attempt. It was the first kickoff return for a touchdown by Tulsa since Oct. 15, 2005 when Ashlan Davis returned a 96-yarder against Rice.
  • For the third straight game, the opponent has scored on its first second half possession and for the fourth time this year. The other games were Oklahoma, UCF and SMU.
  • Brennan Marion surpassed the 100-yard plateau for the fourth time this season, the most 100-yard games for a Tulsa receiver since Garrett Mills had seven 100+ receiving games in the 2005 season.
  • With two receptions for over 30 yards in the game, Brennan Marion has now had 11 of his 20 receptions on the year covering over 30 yards and 13 catches for over 25 yards.
  • Jamad Williams had his first career 100+ rushing game and it marked the fifth time this season that a Tulsa running back has surpassed the 100 rushing mark.
  • This game marked the third time this year that Tulsa has had a 100-yard rusher and a 100-yard receiver in the same game.
  • Tulsa had the advantage in time of possession for only the second time this season and the first time since the season opener against UL-Monroe.
  • Paul Smith surpassed the 300-yard passing mark for the ninth time this season and the 10th time in his career. He also had three TD passes for the seventh time this season and the fourth straight game with three TD tosses.
  • Tulsa scored 40 points for the third time this season, and went over 30 points for the fifth time this year and the 35th time in the last 60 games.
  • Tulsa went over the 500-yard total offense mark for the sixth time this season, and surpassed the 600-yard mark for the third time.
