- This is the second time in the last three years that Tulsa and UCF have played in the C-USA Football Championship Game. The two teams also met in the 2005 C-USA Championship Game.
- Seniors Paul Smith and Nelson Coleman started their 39th consecutive game today.
- Paul Smith threw at least three first-half TD passes for the fourth time this year.
- Trae Johnson became the second Tulsa receiver this year to surpassing the 1,000-yard plateau, marking the first time in school history with two 1,000-yard received in the same season. Brennan Marion went over the 1,000-yard plateau last week.
- Trae Johnson and Brennan Marion are the third receiving tandem in the NCAA this year to surpass 1,000 yards, and the 24th pair in NCAA history. This year Texas Tech's Michael Crabtree and Danny Amendola and Hawaii's Ryan Grice-Nullen and Davone Bess are the other tandems with 1,000+ receiving yards.
- Jarod Tracy's 34-yard field goal attempt and make was his first attempt in the last six games. He had not had a field goal try in the last five games. It was the first attempt since the UCF game on Oct. 20.
- Tulsa trailed at halftime for the sixth time this year -- UL-Monroe, BYU, Oklahoma, UCF and SMU.
- In the last five games in the first half, Tulsa has averaged 26.8 points in the first half.
- Paul Smith had his 13th consecutive 300+ passing game this year, tying the single-season consecutive NCAA 300+ passing games record of 13 which was set by BYU's Ty Detmer in 1989 and 1990. His 13 also tied the overall single-season NCAA record set by Detmer and Hawaii's Colt Brennan in 2006.
- Paul Smith went over the 400+ passing mark for the third time this season.
- Charles Clay went over 100+ receiving yards for the third time this season.
- UCF Kevin Smith's 272 yards is the most against Tulsa since PJ Daniels rushed for 307 yards against Tulsa in the Humanitarian Bowl on Jan. 3, 2004.
