DALLAS (AP) - Ben Uzoh scored 15 points to help lead Tulsa to a 67-60 victory over SMU on Wednesday night.
Calvin Walls' layup seven minutes into the game broke a 7-7 tie and put Tulsa (18-10, 8-7 Conference USA) ahead for good. Tulsa led 29-19 at halftime and took a 16-point margin, its largest, at 13:37 in the second.
Uzoh, who shot 4-of-5 from the field in the second half, was the only Golden Hurricane to score in double figures. Jamel McLean led the team with seven rebounds.
Ike Ofoegbu scored a game-high 29 points, including 4-of-5 3-pointers in the second half, for SMU (14-15, 3-12). Ofoegbu also led his team with seven rebounds.
Tulsa shot 49 percent from the field to 36 percent for SMU.
