Tulsa Coach Doug Wojcik Quotes
Opening Statement:
"It was an outstanding offensive night for us -- 15 assists, 12 turnovers, shoot 62 percent from the field -- it was a great offensive performance by our entire team, in particular Ray Reese. Ben was very consistent. It was exciting to see our two guard with six assists and no turnovers, then Brett McDade with 4 assists and no turnovers."

"Sam Mitchell gave us a lift when Marshall cut the lead. He did a nice job, and going 7-for-7 from the line is very impressive. It shows how much he was concentrating on what he needed to do. Overall it was a very good performance for our team."

Besides that guys were shooting well, what goes into a performance where you shoot 62 percent?
"Marshall was pressing us a little bit, so we got some easy shots. I think taking good shots. Whenever the stat line shows you have more assists than turnovers that means you're sharing the ball well and making the extra pass. All year we've been a pretty good offensive team vs. the zone. We move the ball well. We get it to the high post, we get it to the short corner. Tonight we were really reversing the ball well and making that extra pass, and I think that led to that shooting percentage."

Did the second-half performance carry over from the Memphis game into this game?
"To see us go the second-half of Memphis and get 48 points, first half tonight get 48 and 41 in the second half. We really haven't done that. It was nice to see us score consistently that way. To have two wing players in Ray and Ben to shoot it that way is really exciting."

"The other guy I thought played under control was Glenn Andrews It's important for his growth to do that."

On the match-ups:
"I really believe that the two best young post players in the league, at least performance-wise are Tyler Wilkerson of Marshall and Jerome Jordan. Tyler has a little more offensive than Jerome, and Jerome has a little bit more of defensive presence. We really keyed on Tyler Wilkerson tonight. He was the hottest player in the league. He's been averaging 16 points a game in their last five games, and we were able to cut that in half to eight. I thought we did a nice job there."

"Baines had a nice first half, and that's a tough match-up for us. I think too that Markel Humphrey is an all-conference player because he's a multi-skilled kid. He can step out and shoot the three, he can take you off the dribble and he can post you up."
