TU/USM Softball Series Moved Back an Hour

Tulsa, Okla. - The weekend will also kick off the "second-season" as TU travels to Hattiesburg, Miss., to open Conference USA play against Southern Miss. Saturday's double-header was previously scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. However due to a weather system moving into the area, the series starter has been moved back to 2 p.m. The final two games of series will be played as weather permits.
This will be the second time in three years that TU has opened league play on the road. In 2006, Tulsa swept its opening series at UCF in route to winning the C-USA regular season title.
In six meetings with the Golden Eagles, TU is 4-2. Last season, TU defeated USM 5-0 and 9-5 in Tulsa, while USM won the first game of the series 3-2.
