Tulsa Men's Hoops Back on the Court Thursday Night

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa men's basketball team returns to the court on Thursday night following a 10-day layoff to face the Jackson State Tigers. The game tips off on Thursday night at 7:05 pm at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
It's the first of two preliminary round games of the 2009 Hoop TV Las Vegas Classic for the Hurricane. Tulsa also faces Chicago State on Saturday night before heading off to Las Vegas to play Nebraska on Tuesday, Dec. 21st at 4:30 pm (CT).
Tulsa has posted a 7-1 record and will be looking for its 15th straight home victory dating back to last season. The Hurricane has four double-figure scorers including co-leaders Ben Uzoh and Justin Hurtt, tallying 15.5 points per game. In Tulsa's last two games, Hurtt averaged 21.0 points in victories over Oklahoma State and Ohio, while Uzoh enters the game in sixth-place on the school's career scoring chart.
Jackson State (0-7) is looking for its first win of the season after having lost its top player, Grant Maxey, earlier this season. The Tigers are led by 6'5" guard Garrison Johnson, scoring at a 16.8 clip, and 6'7" forward Tyrone Hanson, averaging 11.0 points per game.
