Tulsa Head Coach Doug Wojcik:
Opening Statement...
"It was a great game for us, and a great bounce-back game. Sitting there for nine or 10 days was not fun after the two losses, especially with the way we lost. We came back and the guys did a great job focusing all week. We had very good practices and we came out and played well.
"We made them run their offense for 25-30 seconds and they had been shooting the ball a little bit quicker than that. I thought our guys did a great job by getting 36 deflections against a team that is pretty patterned, and makes you play defense for a pretty long time. We got off to a little bit of a slow start and kind of seized control of the game. I loved our effort to start the second half, and I though Joe Richard played an absolutely great second half."
On Steven Idlet's play...
"He's a coach's dream. He's very intelligent and very verbal. He understands leadership and is demanding of his teammates, but then he goes out and does it physically. So he leads by example. I'm glad to have him around."
On taking control of the game in the second half...
"I think one good thing about us today is that we took care of the basketball. We were 17-to-7 on the assist-to-turnover ratio. To be over 2-to-1 as a team is phenomenal and Ben [Uzoh] is 3-to-1. I also thought we did a good job attacking their 1-3-1 zone as well as their match-up zone."

On playing at home versus on the road...
"Being back home in front of all the fans helped energize the whole team. We've got to find a way to bring that energy with us on the road whenever we play."
On the Tulsa's slow start...
"It took us a little bit to get into a flow. We did start off slow. Once we got it, they hung around for just a little while. [As far as] offensive flow, we were getting shots and we were making [them]."
On rebounding from the Nevada loss...
"We had to sit down and talk to each other and figure out what was wrong. We figured out we just have to bring the energy on the road. We always bring it at home. We just have to figure out how to bring it on the road."
On Tulsa's non-conference schedule...
"This has been a tough schedule. We've played some good teams. We've seen some of the teams we've played upset other teams, like South Alabama winning at Florida."
On Justin Hurtt...
"Coach [Wojcik] jokes around that he doesn't have to work for his shots, but him making all those shots is so big for us. We need someone who is going to be there to knock down those shots. That's going to draw defenses out. That's going to spread them apart, and then we can go inside."
