Tulsa Men Get Second Seed at Buick C-USA Championship

2011 C-USA Men's Championship Bracket Get Acrobat Reader

IRVING, Texas - The University of Tulsa men's basketball team earned the second seed in the Buick Conference USA Men's Basketball Championship with a 78-70 victory over Southern Miss on Saturday night at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.

Tulsa (18-12, 11-5) finished in a second-place tie with the UTEP Miners, but received the second seed by virtue a win over regular season champion UAB earlier this season.

The tournament will be played at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas this week. Tournament play begins on Wednesday with first round games. Tulsa, #1-seed UAB, #3-seed UTEP and #4-seed Memphis received first round byes.

Tulsa will play the winner of the #7 SMU - #10 game on Thursday, March 10 at 9:00 pm (CT) on CBS College Sports Network.
