TULSA, Okla. - Tulsa senior Justin Hurtt was named to the 2010-11 All-Conference USA First Team, the league office announced Monday.

Hurtt finished the regular season as C-USA's leading scorer, averaging 20.3 points per game and totaling 608 points for the regular season. He has scored double-digit points in every game this season, and put up 20 or more points in 16 games.

Hurtt is the first Tulsa player to average 20 points per game since Shea Seals averaged 20.7 ppg in 1996-97, and his 608 total points matches Ben Uzoh (2007-08) for the highest total since Seals' 1996-97 season when he scored 705 points.

Hurtt has scored 20 points in 16 games this season, including three games in which he eclipsed 30 points. He ranks eighth on TU's career scoring chart with 1,510 points, and his 223 three-point field goals total ranks fourth on TU's career list. Hurtt is the 11th player in school history to score 600 points in a season and eighth to score 500 points in consecutive seasons. He is one of five Tulsa players to make 80 three-pointers in a single season, and his total of 82 ranks fourth, just nine behind Gary Collier's record of 93 set in 1993-94.

The second-seeded Golden Hurricane (18-12, 11-5 C-USA) opens the C-USA Championship Thursday at 9 p.m. CT in the quarterfinal round of the tournament, against the winner of the seventh-seed SMU-10th-seed Rice first-round game.
