Softball Home Finale vs. Missouri State Thursday

TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa softball team plays its final home game of the 2011 season Thursday when it takes on Missouri State at 5 p.m. at the Donna J. Hardesty Sports Complex.
The contest will also represent the final home game for the three TU seniors - Kelly Chapman, Jordan Kinard and Lauren Menke. Senior Day was held Saturday. Live video via Hurricane Vision and live stats via Gametracker for all three games will be available at www.TulsaHurricane.com.
Tulsa (37-12, 16-5 C-USA) is hitting .278 (353-for-1269) with 181 RBI, 207 runs, 60 doubles, six triples and 25 home runs, and has a .394 slugging percentage and a .346 on-base percentage with 128 walks. The Hurricane has a 1.80 team ERA with 386 strikeouts, 144 walks, 216 hits, 103 runs and 85 earned runs allowed, and has a .184 opponent batting average.
Missouri State (22-19, 10-8 MVC) hits .254 (267-for-1051) with 108 RBI, 132 runs, 38 doubles, eight triples and 11 home runs, and has a .337 slugging percentage and a .322 on-base percentage with 96 walks. The Bears have a 3.25 team ERA with 226 strikeouts, 78 walks, 298 hits, 149 runs, and 128 earned runs allowed and a .274 opponent batting average.
Tulsa is led in hitting by sophomore center fielder Caitlin Everett who is hitting .383 (59-for-154) with 28 runs, 16 RBI, a .435 slugging percentage and a .451 OBP. Sophomore shortstop Samantha Cobb hits .336 (50-for-149) with 34 RBI, 26 runs, 12 doubles, three homers, 15 walks, a .477 slugging percentage and a .388 OBP. Senior first baseman Kelly Chapman is hitting .318 (34-for-107) with 18 RBI, 23 runs, eight doubles, four homers, a .505 slugging percentage and a .403 on-base percentage.
In the circle, freshman Aimee Creger is 19-2 with a 0.95 ERA in 148.0 innings, and has allowed 61 hits, 25 runs and 20 earned runs, with 204 strikeouts and 58 walks. Senior Jordan Kinard is 8-6 with a 2.38 ERA and has allowed 77 hits, 36 runs and 33 earned runs, with 110 strikeouts and 37 walks in 97.0 innings. Sophomore Lacey Middlebrooks is 10-4 with a 2.62 ERA in 85.1 innings, and has allowed 78 hits, 42 runs and 32 earned runs, with 72 strikeouts and 49 walks.
Tulsa and Missouri State have played 39 times; MSU leads the series, 24-15. Tulsa won last season's game in Springfield, 4-3. The Golden Hurricane has won the last four meetings between the former Missouri Valley Conference rivals, beating the Bears twice in 2008 and once in 2007. MSU won twice in 2006. TU is 4-2 vs. Missouri State since 2006, including 1-0 in Tulsa during that time.
