Tulsa Head Coach John Bargfeldt
Opening statement
"Well I thought it was real important to score first in the game. Anytime you score first, it settles your team down a little bit. It gave us a lot of confidence. Aimee [Creger] came out today focused and I thought she looked as good as she's been. She didn't fall behind too many hitters and got the strikes when she needed them. "
On pitcher Aimee Creger
"It was a good job by Aimee to go out there and hold them until our team could see their pitcher the second time around, put some better at-bats together and score some runs. She got a lot of swings and misses out there and that always helps."
On scoring 10 runs in the final three frames
"Every time our hitters came up, I felt like our at-bats were improving. There are a lot of unknowns coming into a game such as where the strike zone will be, what we need to swing at, what kind of movement the pitcher has, and so on. It has been awhile since we've seen Marshall, so I'm sure our players didn't have a mental picture of what their pitchers look like."
Freshman Pitcher Aimee Creger
Opening Statement
"I felt really good today. It was a much different feeling than the first time I pitched at this stadium. This time, the weather was much better and I've been throwing a lot better lately so it was really nice."
On her performance at ECU Softball Stadium after struggling in her first outing
"It was a lot different today. I didn't pitch well at all the first time but today I was comfortable out there and confident. I made some pitches when I had to unlike my first time here. It was much better."
