Box Score

Tulsa Head Coach John Bargfeldt

Opening Statement
"It's the same recipe as yesterday. We talked about getting on the board quickly so we could settle down a little bit. Sam (Cobb) stepped up and put a great swing on one in the first inning. It seems like every time I don't think home runs will be a factor, someone proves me wrong."

On pitcher Aimee Creger's complete game
"Aimee had a gutty performance. Obviously, pitching for the second day in a row, she probably didn't have as good of stuff (as yesterday).

"The thing I've noticed about her is if she's not getting a lot of strikeouts, she gets a lot of pop ups. The few times UCF did hit the ball hard, I thought our defense was outstanding. You can't write up a better formula than great defense, great pitching and timely hitting."

On scoring three runs in the fifth inning after UCF cut Tulsa's lead to 2-1
"It seems like we've been able to do that all year. When a team presses us, we're usually able to bounce right back. That was a key to the game. That's the mark of a team when the players all have each other's back."

Sophomore Shortstop Samantha Cobb

Opening Statement
"We're all really excited to play in the championship game. We're expecting to go out there tomorrow and do well. We want to jump on them early in the game."

On her two-run homerun in the first inning
"It felt really good. I've been struggling a little bit putting the barrel on the ball. It's great to get ahead in the game early because it helps our pitcher relax. I got the inside pitch I was looking for and made a good swing."
