Creger and Everett Selected to NFCA All-Midwest Region Team

Freshman Aimee Creger was selected to the NFCA Midwest Region First Team, while teammate Caitlin Everett was selected to the Midwest Region Second Team.

NORMAN, Okla. - Tulsa freshman pitcher Aimee Creger and sophomore center fielder Caitlin Everett were selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Midwest Region Teams, the NFCA announced Thursday.

Creger was a first-team selection as a utility player/pitcher, while Everett was a second-team selection as an outfielder.

Creger, a native of Yukon, Okla., was named the Conference USA Freshman of the Year and an All-C-USA First Team selection. She is 24-2 on the season, and leads the nation with a 0.79 ERA. She also ranks second in the NCAA in hits allowed per seven innings with 2.88, and 17th with 9.3 strikeouts per seven innings. Her 24 wins is a Tulsa single season record, and she holds the single season strikeout record with 247 on the season. In 90 plate appearances as a designated player or hitting pitcher, Creger has driven in 18 runs and scored 13, while hitting .278, with a .350 on-base percentage and a .422 slugging percentage.

Everett, a native of Forney, Texas, and an All-C-USA First-Team selection, set the school single season record with 32 stolen bases, and her 0.57 stolen-bases-per-game average ranks 28th in the country. Her .407 batting average ranks 58th in the country. With 72 hits this season, she is just four from the school record of 76. Everett has totaled 34 runs and 19 RBI with a .458 slugging percentage and a .465 on-base percentage. She has committed only one error all season in center field.
