Rain Postpones Softball Season Opener Until Saturday

LAFAYETTE, La. - Rain washed out the games scheduled for Friday at the 26th Annual Louisiana Classics, delaying the start of the 2012 Tulsa softball season until Saturday.

The 24th-ranked Golden Hurricane will now play a doubleheader Saturday, facing the 23rd-ranked and host Louisiana-Lafayette at 3:30 p.m. and Mississippi Valley State at 6 p.m. TU closes the weekend against Rutgers at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Tulsa was originally scheduled to play two games Friday, two games Saturday and one game Sunday, playing ULL and MVSU twice each. The four-team tournament is now a round robin.
