TULSA, Okla. - Tulsa sophomore Jordan Clarkson was named to the 2012 National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 11 First Team, the organization announced Wednesday.

Clarkson, a 6'4" guard from San Antonio, Texas, averaged 16.5 points per game and led the Golden Hurricane to a third-place finish in Conference USA. He scored in double figures in each of his last 28 games, and scored 20 or more points eight times. He ranked second in C-USA, averaging 16.5 points, and averaged a .784 free throw percentage, a .435 field goal percentage and 2.5 assists per game.

Last week, Clarkson was selected to the All-Conference USA First-Team, and became Tulsa's youngest first-team all-conference selection since Shea Seals in 1994-95.

This is the fourth straight year TU had placed players on the NABC All-District Teams. Justin Hurtt was selected in 2011, and Ben Uzoh and Jerome Jordan were each selected in 2009 and 2010.

Clarkson is eligible for the NABC Coaches' Division I All-America teams, to be announced March 20.
