LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Tulsa men's basketball team will open the MGM Grand Main Event Monday night when it takes on Auburn at 10 p.m. CT at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The Golden Hurricane is part of the Heavyweight Bracket, along with Auburn, Oklahoma State and Oregon State.

The Series
This will be the third meeting between Tulsa and Auburn. Auburn leads the series, 2-0. The last meeting was in the second round of the 2009 NIT, a 74-55 win by the Tigers in Auburn. Auburn also won 92-75 in 1975 at the Sun Bowl Tournament in El Paso, Texas.

• The winners of Monday's Tulsa-Auburn and Oklahoma State-Oregon State games will meet in the Heavyweight Bracket Championship Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. CT. The losers of each Monday game will play at 8 p.m. CT Wednesday.
