This Saturday's Tulsa-Old Dominion men's basketball game slated for 3:05 pm is the 8th Annual Hurricane Hoops for Hunger Day.

Tulsa, Oklahoma - This Saturday's Tulsa-Old Dominion men's basketball game slated for 3:05 pm is the 8th Annual Hurricane Hoops for Hunger Day.

For the eighth consecutive year, The University of Tulsa invites basketball fans to bring non-perishable or canned food items to benefit the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. Financial contributions will also be accepted. Food items and donations will be collected at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Gates open at 1:30 p.m.

In the past seven years, Hurricane Hoops for Hunger has provided 93,588 meals for those in need, while raising over $21,047 and 11,280 pounds of food. Last year, Hurricane Hoops for Hunger collected $1,559 and 603 pounds of food.

To purchase game tickets for the Tulsa-OSU game, fans can go online to TulsaHurricane.com, call 918.631-GoTU or stop by the Reynolds Center Ticket Office. Ticket prices start at $10.00.
