Hurricane Hoops for Hunger Supports Community Food Bank

Hurricane Hoops for Hunger is in its eighth year and has provided 93,588 meals in the first seven seasons.

Tulsa, Oklahoma - For the eighth consecutive season, The University of Tulsa invites basketball fans to bring non-perishable or canned food items to the Golden Hurricane vs. Old Dominion men's basketball game on Saturday, February 15th. Game time is 3:05 p.m. The food items will benefit the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.

Financial contributions will also be accepted. Food items and donations will be collected at the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Gates open at 1:30 p.m.

In the past seven years, Hurricane Hoops for Hunger has provided 93,588 meals for those in need, while raising over $21,047 and 11,280 pounds of food. Last year, Hurricane Hoops for Hunger collected $1,559 and 603 pounds of food.
