Creger Earns Fourth C-USA Pitcher of the Week Award

TULSA, Okla. - Tulsa senior Aimee Creger was named Conference USA Pitcher of the Week for the fourth time this season after pitching a no-hitter and striking out 42 batters in 18.0 innings last week, the league office announced Monday.
Creger earned three shutout victories, including two wins over UTEP and a win at Missouri State. The Yukon, Okla., native allowed just two hits and two walks in the three outings, compiling a 0.00 ERA and a .036 opponent batting average. She struck out 42 batters in 54 total outs, and averaged 2.3 strikeouts per inning during the week.
Creger no-hit UTEP on Sunday, striking out 12 batters in five innings and allowing just one walk. It was her sixth career no-hitter and second thrown this season. She gave up just one hit on Saturday in a 17-strikeout seven-inning performance against UTEP. Wednesday at Missouri State, she tallied 13 strikeouts and allowed one hit and one walk in six innings of a combined shutout.
This is 12th C-USA Pitcher of the Week award of Creger's career.
The Golden Hurricane (32-3, 9-0 C-USA) plays host to Wichita State at 5 p.m. Tuesday and Central Arkansas at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
