Tulsa Golfers Finish in 11th Place at Bayou City Collegiate

The Tulsa men's golf team placed 11th at the 54-hole Bayou City Collegiate Classic, while finishing with a 911 total at the par-72 Golfcrest Country Club. Tulsa freshman Jack Knoesel finished in 19th place overall after turning in a final round 73 for a six-over par 222 score.
Tulsa's Francisco Yanez was just one shot behind his teammate with a 223 total score, after carding a final round 75. Sam Humphreys scored a 54-hole total of 228 to place 52nd overall. Preston Crawford placed 73rd overall with a 240 total, while Matthew Marquez finished in 80th place with a score of 246.
Houston captured the team title with a six-over par score of 870, while Houston's Matt Dunn won individual medalist honors with a two-hole playoff victory over McNeese State's Robert MacIntyre. Both golfers finished the 54 holes with a five-under par score of 211.
Tulsa will close out the fall campaign, October 26-27, at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate at the Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas, Texas.
