TULSA TO FACE UCONN IN AMERICAN SEMIFINALS

Hartford, CT - The No. 2-seeded Tulsa Golden Hurricane will face the host UConn Huskies in American Athletic Conference semifinal action Saturday afternoon at 5:00 pm (ET)/4:00 pm (CT) from the XL Center.

Tulsa outlasted the No. 10-seed Houston Cougars for a 59-51 victory in one quarterfinal matchup Friday night, while UConn garnered a 57-54 win over Cincinnati in the nightcap as Ryan Boatright knocked down a game-winning three-pointer with 0.2 on the game clock.

Tulsa, which finished in second-place in the American, comes into the semifinal game with an overall 22-9 record. UConn, the league's sixth-seed, has posted a season record of 18-13.

Top-seed SMU with play fourth-seeded Temple in the other semifinal matchup, slated for 3:00 pm (ET)/2:00 pm (CT).

Both semifinal games will be aired on ESPN2.

The championship game will be played on Sunday afternoon at 3:15 pm (ET)/2:15 pm (CT) on ESPN.
