The Hurricane Soccer Stadium, home for the Tulsa men's and women's soccer teams, was completed in August 2003. The stadium was the third phase of the 10-year athletic master plan for campus development. The multi-purpose facility is part of the Donna J. Hardesty Sports and Recreation Complex, a 30-acre development at The University of Tulsa.
The Simon Greiner Track & Field Complex is home to the Golden Hurricane track and field team. The facility was renamed in fall 2023 in memory of former TU track and field and cross country student-athlete Simon Greiner, who passed away in 2016 at the age of 22.
Designed by St. Louis-based Hastings & Chivetta Architects, Inc., the stadium features a 75' X 120' soccer field and an eight-lane 400-meter synthetic surface running track. The fully irrigated soccer field consists of Tiffsport sod on top of an eight-inch sand base to facilitate drainage to a system of pipes below. The stadium includes locker rooms, training room, concession stand and storage area, a press box and seating for 2,000 spectators.

The $4.5 million facility has generated excitement and has enhanced student-athlete recruitment opportunities. The facility further demonstrates The University of Tulsa's commitment to providing its Division I NCAA teams top-notch athletic facilities. The Hurricane Soccer & Track Stadium has been the host site for NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament and Conference Tournament games. During the 2005 campaign, the facility was featured for the first time on national television when the Tulsa men's soccer team faced off against 11th-ranked SMU on the FOX Soccer Channel, drawing a stadium record crowd of 1,753 fans.

Other firms working on the stadium included the St. Louis companies of McClure Engineering Associates as mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer; and Jack Sontag, structural engineer. Tulsa-based companies include Saks & Associates providing civil engineering; Howell & Vancuren as the landscape architect; and Oakridge Builders as the general contractor.
