Tulsa Men Golfers in 18th Place at Tiger Invitational

The Tulsa men's golf team is in 18th place after first round action at the Auburn Tiger Invitational. The Golden Hurricane carded a score of 314 at the par-72 Grand National Lake Course on Sunday.
Red-shirt freshman Sam Humphreys turned in Tulsa's best round with a score of four-over par 76 and is in 47th place. Freshman Preston Crawford is one stroke behind Humphreys in 56th place with a score of 77.
Junior Matthew Marquez carded a round of 80 and is in 83rd place, followed by two more freshmen Jack Knoesel in 86th place with a score of 81 and Marc Kepka in 96th place at 86 for the day.
Host Auburn leads the field with a three-under par 285, while the Tigers' Matt Gilchrest shot a four-under par round of 68 to sit in first place after the first 18 holes.
Tournament play continues on Monday with final round action on Tuesday.
