Tulsa Women’s Soccer Team Begins Preseason Practice

The Tulsa women's soccer team began preparations for the 2017 season on Wednesday with the first practice of preseason camp.
 
The Golden Hurricane welcomed 27 players to camp, including 18 returning letterwinners, seven returning starters and seven newcomers.
 
Head Coach Kyle Cussen, who is in his 10th season at the helm, is the winningest women's soccer coach in school history with 87 victories, and is just two wins shy of his 200th career victory with a 198-146-37 mark in 19 seasons as a Division I head coach.
 
Tulsa begins play with an exhibition game against the Mexico U-20 team on August 10th and a preseason contest against TCU on August 13.  The Hurricane opens the regular season on August 18 against Central Michigan at the Kansas Invitational, and will face Kansas in the home opener on August 25 at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
