Sophomore guard Lawson Korita has appeared in 19 games this season and has started eight of the last nine contests for the Golden Hurricane. In his two seasons at TU, Korita has seen action in 47 games with 13 starts and he has totaled 134 points and 73 rebounds with four double-figure scoring games.
Korita tied a career high with 12 points, all of which came in the second half, to aid a win over ECU (Dec. 28) in his first start of the campaign, while he added 10 points against Temple (Jan. 17). The Little Rock, Ark., native is shooting 47.7-percent from the floor and averaging 13.1 minutes per game.
Korita came to TU from Pulaski Academy in Little Rock where he was a three-star recruit by Rivals.com. He was a second-team All-Arkansas pick by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and averaged 18.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game as a junior. Korita also was a two-time all-state selection by the Arkansas High School Activities Association.
