TWO OVER 100 . . .
• For the second time this season, Shamari Brooks and Corey Taylor II, each went over 100 yards rushing when they surpassed that plateau against UConn.
• They each surpassed the 100-yard mark in the first half with Brooks reaching 142 and Taylor 112 yards … the duo ended the game with 151 yards for Brooks and 133 yards for Taylor.
• It marked the second time this season that the pair each had 100 yards rushing … the previous time came in the season opener vs. UCA with 129 yards for Brooks and 110 by Taylor.
• It also marked the 11th time under Montgomery that Tulsa has had 2 players each gain 100 yards in the same game … Tulsa has a 10-1 record in those games.
THROWING FOR 4 TDS, MOST FOR A FRESHMAN SINCE 1987 . . .
• Red-shirt freshman Seth Boomer threw for a career-best 4 touchdowns covering 85 yards to 4 different receivers against UConn.
• The 4 TD passes is the most for a Tulsa quarterback since Dane Evans threw for 5 touchdowns in the 2016 Miami Beach Bowl against Central Michigan.
• It was also the most for a freshman or red-shirt freshman in school history … the previous best for a freshman was 3 TD passes by T.J. Rubley against Temple in 1987.
